Zayed University is a public university based in United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1998. It is one of the three government-sponsored higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates. It is named in honor of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the country's first president. Achieving accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the US, it became the first federal university in the UAE to be internationally accredited. ZU offers 17 majors and 10 minors at undergraduate level and 10 master's degree. The university has eight colleges: College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, College of Business, College of Communication and Media Sciences, College of Education, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Natural and Health Sciences, College of Technological Innovation, and University College.
