Vochlea Music is a Leeds based audio technology company which uses artificial intelligence to reproduce vocal beats as musical sounds. The company develops software and hardware which when used together can simulate music through any digital audio workstation (DAW) software. In simple terms, the software replaces humming, beats and sounds transforms it with synths, drums and other instruments. The technology removes the requirement to learn complicated software for making music.
Dubler Studio Kit is a combination of software and hardware developed by Vochlea which uses live vocal input to control music instrument digital interface (MIDI). The kit contains a low latency USB microphone and a virtual MIDI software to be used together. The kit is compatible with any DAW software like Ableton, Garageband, and FL Studio. The USB microphone is optimized for use with Dubler software for real-time voice recognition and alteration.
A musician needs to train Dubler software to recognize their voice before they can begin. The software uses artificial intelligence voice recognition technology to learn the users voice and control MIDI output. The software can control the synth with live pitch tracking and is responsive to change in velocity of the sound. The software can recognize sounds based on different tones to trigger samples for multiple MIDI channels and synth control simultaneously. The software ships with pre-built samples and software instruments which can be changed by users.
George Wright founded Vochlea Music in 2017. The company is headquartered in Leeds, England. As of February 2019, the company is working with musicians as a beta test and plans to release the Dubler Studio Kit in spring of 2019.
