On October 23, 2018 Usher announced raising $12 million in series A funding from 8VC (lead investor) and a few new and existing seed investors. The company also announced Pankaj Patel, the vice president and chief development officer of Cisco, and Bhaskar Ghosh, a parter and the CTO of 8VC, joined the board of directors of Usher, and David Moskowitz, the principal at 8VC, joining the board as an observer.
On April 9, 2019 Usher announced expanding their series A funding round with an undisclosed amount of funding from Plug and Play.
