Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is a public educational institution and organization in the United States, specifically located in Laredo, Texas. Founded in 1969, TAMIU is part of the Texas A&M University System and operates in the education, higher education, and university industries. The university's motto is "Go Beyond at The International U!".
Texas A&M International University holds multiple accreditations, including the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Other accreditations held by TAMIU are the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the Council on Social Work Education.
TAMIU is affiliated with several organizations such as the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Texas A&M University System, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, and the National Athletic Association.
