Company History
The founders of TECHLAB® met in the late 1970s at Virginia Tech’s Anaerobe Laboratory, where they were investigating diagnosis and treatments for Clostridium difficile infection. Led by Dr. Tracy Wilkins, the researchers developed the first commercial diagnostic reagents for C. difficile disease.
Mr. Daniel Delaney is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TECHLAB. Delaney is an accomplished executive in the medical technology and diagnostics industry, with decades of operating and commercial experience.
Dr. David Lyerly co- founded TECHLAB in 1989 and currently serves as the Chief Science Officer.
Mr. Robert Day is the Chief Operating Officer at TECHLAB.
Mr. Greg Stanley is the Chief Commercial Officer at TECHLAB, where he is responsible for global commercial operations, including the worldwide partnership with Abbott Rapid Diagnostics.
Demand for the antiserum grew quickly when it was discovered that C. difficile is a major hospital pathogen, and TECHLAB was incorporated in 1989 to produce and distribute the product.
