Sophie's Kitchen

Sophie's Kitchen is a food company producing vegan seafood products such as crab meat, shrimp, scallops, tuna, and salmon. Eugene Wang founded Sophie's Kitchen in 2010, and the company is operating out of Dover,Kent County,DE.

Sophie's Kitchen is dedicated to using ingredients not made in labs or cultured using cellular agriculture. The founder of Sophie's Kitchen, Eugene Wang, says "Unlike some meat alternatives, we only use real food ingredients, nothing is lab-grown because we believe that nature provides all the components for great food. The most influential thing about the clean-label movement is the fact that it forced us, as manufacturers, to take a more responsible and transparent approach to the ingredients we use. As retailers and consumers are educated, we move toward positive change. It’s a win-win for everyone."

On December 16, 2016, Sophie's Kitchen closed its seed funding round. The company raised an undisclosed amount of funding from FoodFutureCo.
