Sleeper is a fantasy sports platform developed for hosting fantasy leagues and connecting sports fans. It was initially built as a news-based alert app for the NFL and was changed by its inclusion of a fantasy hosting platform, which enables users to create redraft, dynasty, and keeper leagues on the site and mobile application.
Sleeper's offerings include fantasy football, fantasy basketball, best ball, NCAA bracket mania, League of Legends, and over-under, a pick’em game allowing users to interact with their friends (via squad mode).
In 2021, the company announced a $40MM Series C fundraising round, led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, which was also the lead investor in the platform's Series B round.
