Reach Capital is a venture capital firm headquartered in San Francisco. It was founded in 2015 by Jennifer Carolan and Shauntel Garvey. The firm was started by former educators and educational product managers whose goal was to empower educators and learners through technology and expand educational access and opportunities. It targets investment in innovative education technology startups.
Reach's initial fund was valued at $53 million and focused on K-12 educational products. The company launced its second fund in 2018 with aim of expanding the firm's financial reach past K-12 focused startups and into secondary education, continuing education, early childhood development, and financial technology that assists students. Reach Capital II was valued at $85 million.
