Pratexo is a developer of an edge orchestration and management platform for the deployment of edge solutions. The company's platform is cloud-based and is intended to simplify and accelerate the design, provision, and management of edge nodes and micro-clouds to host applications. Its platform supports Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence strategies and initiatives that demand computing power at the edge, such as near sensors or cameras in remote locations. And it features an open architecture with built-in security, artificial intelligence, machine learning integration, and real-time simulation and visualization.
Pratexo was founded in 2019 by Frode Alirash-Roarson and Petter Graff. The company suggests its platform is ideally suited for industries such as shipping, energy, utilities, defense, and smart buildings and cities. Pratexo has a partner-first strategy, in which systems integrator partners work with Pratexo to build complete solutions for organizations, connecting both hardware and software to extend the products of both companies. Partners of Pratexo as part of this scheme have included Ballista Technology Group, Coral, Ericsson, ASUS, Wittra, BIM Virtual, LuxML, Industry Corps, Matellio, and Attentec.
The Pratexo platform orchestrates and manages solutions at the edge and is intended to simplify and accelerate the design, deployment, and management of solutions at the edge and the processing of edge data in real time. The platform is based on open and proven technologies, is powered by micro clouds, and is built to be flexible, scalable, private, and secured. Micro clouds offer edge users the advantages of cloud computing, but placed at the edge, and therefore are able to operate even when disconnected from a central server.
Pratexo's Studio is developed to help users design software architecture for micro clouds and edge nodes, in a low-code environment, allowing users to run simulations on a digital twin of the system in the cloud and deploy to the real world when ready. Further, the system is developed to allow users to manage applications and analytics for the full lifecycle of the cloud and ensure the performance improves and optimizes over time. Studio allows users to deploy standalone edge computing, distributed edge computing that includes forming a local cloud, and swarm edge computing.
