Peter George Peterson

Peter George Peterson (1926-2018) was an American-Greek politician, writer, and businessman who was born in Kearney, Nebraska. With dual citizenship in the United States and Greece, Peterson held a variety of occupations throughout his lifetime, including his role as a politician and a writer. Peterson died in Manhattan.

Peterson was educated at Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, and the Booth School of Business. He is best known for being one of the founders of the Blackstone Group, a leading investment and advisory firm. In addition to his professional achievements, Peterson was the father of Holly Peterson, an accomplished journalist and author.
