Prior to founding PragliPesto, Doug and Vivek founded StacksWare. After StacksWare was acquired, they spend 2 years working remotely for the acquiring company.

During that time, they realized they loved remote work, but had two major issues:
1) Communication friction - text communication just wasn't as fast & good as walking up to someone with your laptop
2) Loneliness - they didn't build closeness as quickly as they would've in an office.
