At NSTU there are information and reference centers of DAAD and the British Council, the Regional Center for International Cooperation in the field of engineering education and the Nixdorf-Industry Regional Foundation, the Siberian Center for Engineering Education in the Field of Automation, and the Regional Testing Center for Russian Language for Foreigners. On September 18, 2002, the university signed the Bologna Declaration and became the third university in Russia after Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University to participate in the Charter of European Universities. In 2007, Novosibirsk State Technical University became the winner of the All-Russian competition of innovative educational projects of universities within the framework of the priority national project "Education" and received a grant for the implementation of the innovative educational program "High Technologies".
The legendary Su-24 bomber, which was specially transported at night from the Chkalov plant to the territory of NSTU NETI, was installed on a pedestal in the Aircraft Builders Square.
The aircraft is about 22 meters long and weighs 22 tons. Graduates of NNSTU NETI of different years participated in its creation - in the 1960s-80s.
The opening ceremony was attended by graduates of the university, representatives of the plant.
