He then earned a master’s degree in government from Harvard University, where he conducted research through the Davis Center focusing on Russian agricultural trade policy. Gabelli later earned a master of business administration (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Gabelli began his career with Lehman Brothers International in equity research, covering international telecommunications and metals, mining, and metallurgy companies, and later focusing on equity arbitrage, including cross-asset special situations.
