MagicCraft is a PVP multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA) launched on Binance Smart Chain. The game is available to players on PC, Android, and iOS. MagicCraft combines battle-action gameplay with Web3 features. Players enter the gaming universe and fight team battles for prizes in the platform's native cryptocurrency—$MCRT.
Players can enter battle on their own or form clans to fight in multiplayer battles. The play-to-earn game has plans to incorporate non-fungible token (NFT) characters and game landscape rental systems. This is aimed at providing owners with a part of the in-game revenue from renting their NFTs to fellow players in the game community.
In 2021, the PC marketplace Steam banned blockchain games. Following that, some Steam games were criticized by users for hiding crypto elements, not apparent in the game itself. MagicCraft was criticized for not mentioning crypto elements on its Steam page but listing its crypto token MCRT on Twitter and advertising itself as a play-to-earn game on the BNB Chain.
