Likewise

Likewise is a software development company providing a content discovery platform that gives personalized recommendations for TV, movies, books, and podcasts, allowing users to share, suggest, and save recommendations. Founded in 2017 by Ian Morris, Larry Cohen, and Micheal Dix, Likewise is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington and is led by CEO Ian Morris. The initial idea for the company began with Larry Cohen, a former Microsoft executive, and is backed by Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates. The app is available online and for Android and iOS devices.

In October 2023, Likewise debuted Pix, an AI chatbot designed to make personalized entertainment recommendations. Users can communicate with Pix via text message, email, the Pix mobile app, website, or via Pix’s TV app using a voice remote.

In addition to recommendations, Likewise also provides a streaming platform, Likewise TV, which allows users to watch, receive recommendations, and create universal watchlists from streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Apple TV, Prime Video, and others. Likewise TV was launched in March 2022.
