Kinetica DB

Kinetica DB is a database company that was founded by the former President and COO of Oracle, Ray Lane, who provided an initial seed funding for GPUdb to incorporate as a company, Kinetica. In 2016, Kinetica opened with its headquarters situated in San Francisco.

Kinetica closes $50-million Series A financing jointly led by Canvas Ventures and Meritech Capital Partners in 2017, with participation from Citi Ventures and existing investor Ray Lane of GreatPoint Ventures.

In 2018, Kinetica launches 7.0 release: the Kinetica Active Analytics Platform. The unified platform combines historical and streaming data analytics, location intelligence, and artificial intelligence in a high-performance, cloud-ready package with simplified smart app architecture.

Kinetica partners with leading hardware vendors and technology companies to integrate the benefits of GPU-accelerated analytics into the enterprise.

Kinetica offers a real-time analytics database that processes streaming data as it comes, enabling users to uncover new insights instantly. Kinetica reduces OLAP response times from minutes to less than a second for multi-billion row data sets.
