Jio Tesseract

Jio Tesseract is a Mumbai-based technology company with a focus on developing and manufacturing products for the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) spaces. It was founded in 2015 as a spin-off from MIT Media Lab. In 2019, Reliance Industries acquired a majority stake in the company, making Jio Tesseract one of several subsidiaries that belong to the company.

Jio Tesseract develops wearable hardware for AR, VR, and mixed-reality purposes. Its main product is its JioGlass, which resembles sunglasses but contains a lot more technology than the average pair. JioGlass enables the user to have high-definition 2D and 3D experiences with screens, such as computers. There is also spatial audio built into the glasses so users can have an audio experience. There are several colors of glasses to choose from, including black, blue, and red. When consumers buy JioGlass, they receive several pieces of hardware, including the glasses, nose pieces, a nose piece case, the JioGlass controller, a case for the glasses, prescription lenses, and a case for those lenses.
