Industry Ventures is a San Francisco-based company that is a liquidity provider for private shares, limited partnerships, and early-stage venture capital funds. It makes investments in its portfolio companies and venture funds and has over $3.4 billion of assets in management. It has the stated mission of supporting technology companies and their venture capital partners with "reliable, honest, efficient, and long-term capital solutions".

The company has four investment strategies: secondary fund, hybrid fund of funds, direct fund, and a tech buyout fund. The secondary fund acquires venture capital assets of late-stage venture-backed companies. The hybrid fund of funds provides monetary support to early-stage venture-backed companies. The direct fund focuses on early to mid-stage start-ups through avenues such as direct company investments and the tech buyout fund targets lower and mid-market technology buyouts managers. The company has also created special purchase vehicles so that it can purchase investments with general partners.
