FI is a technology company making a smart dog collar that is headquartered in new York City, New York and was founded in 2017 by Jonathan Bensamoun and Loren Kirkby. Fi is making an LTE-M dog collar for tracking a dogs location. The collar has a 3 month battery life and will automatically alert owners that their dog has escaped. The collar also has a light that turns on at night to make dogs easier to find. Besides location tracking, the collar has built-in activity monitoring features which monitor the amount of steps a dog takes per day, week, and month.

The company also offers a mobile application alongside their smart collar. The mobile application allows users to set safe zones on maps that their dogs are allowed walking around in. If dogs leave the safe zone set by the dogs owner, the owner will receive a phone notification that their dog is not in their safe area.

In November 2017 FI announced completing their seed funding round with $3 million in funding.

On March 14, 2019 FI announced completing their series A funding round with $7 million in funding from RRE Ventures (lead investor), Lerer Hippeau, Freestyle VC, and other technology investors.
