ESDS Software Solution Pvt. Ltd was established in 2005 by Piyush Somani. It had started its operations from Nashik, Maharashtra and is operating in 16 countries across Europe, United States, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.In 2009, ESDS and Intel joined hands to accelerate B2B cloud migration for B2B enterprises. B2B cloud-migration is a complex process with operational and security risks. In 2015 ESDS received a patent for the world's first auto-scaling cloud technology.

In 2016, ESDS partnered with Red Hat on managed cloud hosting services. In the same year, ESDS collaborated with Dell to build a data center fabric in Bangalore.In February 2020, ESDS came up with its regional office in Kolkata that was inaugurated by Raima Sen.
