Established in 2019, Celona is an enterprise networking company developing solutions to handle the connectivity requirements of AI and edge-compute powered apps. Utilizing the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) spectrum, the company's solution architecture is made to streamline and automate the deployment of cellular wireless technology by enterprise IT organizations and service providers.

Celona's solution combines 5G radio technology, edge computing, and machine learning software.

The offering comes as a software as a service (SaaS) subscription model, covering different things from the network planning software for indoor/outdoor coverage, including hardware components and private sim cards to enable enterprise access control.

In June 28, 2022, Celona announced a partnership with Google Cloud to make its 5G LAN solution available via Google Cloud’s private cellular network solutions operating on Google Distributed Cloud Edge (GDC Edge). Google Cloud and Celona came together to provide turnkey enterprise private 5G networks that can operate network management, control, and user plane functions on Google Distributed Cloud Edge regardless of where it resides.
