Founded in 2010 by Jack Ma and David Yu, YunFeng Capital is a private equity firm headquartered in Shanghai, China. They focus their investments on early and growth stage investments in the internet technology, artificial intelligence, technology, healthcare, media and entertainment, financial services, logistics and consumption sectors. Other than capital, Yunfeng Capital offers their portfolio companies consultation and advisory services.
Announced in August, 2018, Yunfeng Capital raised their Yunfeng Fund III at $2.5 billion. And in January 2019, Yunfeng Capital announced their Yunfendg IK Co-invest Fund, which raised $50 million from retailer Suning, but whose total amount was undisclosed.
Yunfeng Capital has invested in Duobaoyu Insurance, Chengjia Apartment, NetEase Cloud Music, Knowbox, Trusfort, WuXi NextCode, Data Enlighten, Yunxuetang, Zmeng Network Technology, Xiaozhu.com, VIPKID, ThinkForce, Brii Bioscience and CStone Pharmaceuticals.
They have exited investments in WuXi NextCode, CStone Pharmaceuticals, Momo, Sogou, and Youku.
