Wiz analyzes infrastructure hosted in public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and maintains a “security graph” that correlates information across the different areas that a company is trying to protect, such as the network, identity, secrets, and workloads. Wiz was founded in March 2020 by its CEO Assaf Rappaport, CTO Ami Luttwak, Roy Reznik, and Yinon Costica. The group has worked together for over twenty years, including as Microsoft’s cloud security group leads and as the cofounders of enterprise cybersecurity firm Adallom, which Microsoft acquired for $320 million.
