Founded in 1989, the Western New York Venture Association is a Buffalo, New York based non-profit angel investment group dedicated to investing in the Niagara region of New York state. They work to grow the economy in the Niagara region, and increase the size and sophistication of the angel investor base in the same region.
As part of their program, the Western New York Venture Association holds networking forums for members to network and collaborate and bring angel investors to companies looking for funding. They offer different levels of membership. Their individual members membership costs $75, their Buffalo Angel Member membership, for which a member has to be an accredited investor, is $175, and corporate sponsors memberships are $350.
Western New York Venture Association has made investments in AndroBioSys, Forsake, FoodNerd, Rora Systems, CrowFly and Empire State Brands.
