Vincent Kitirattragarn is a Thai-Chinese American entrepreneur who founded Dang Foods. Dang Foods is an Asian-American snack company with coconut chips, Thai rice chips, and Dang Bars sold in stores across the United States. He was named to the Forbes 2014 30 Under 30 list for Food & Wine.
Vincent Kitirattragarn launched Dang Foods in 2012 after his mother gave him a recipe for Miang Kum, a Northern Thai dish that requires toasted coconut. His company is named for his mother, whose name is popular among women in Thailand and is also the Thai word for the color red. He also likes to say that “People often taste our products and say ‘Dang, that’s good!’” His first product, Dang Coconut Chips, is sold in 7,000 locations around the United States including Whole Foods, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Stop n’ Shop, The Fresh Market, and Sprouts.
Vincent Kitirattragarn is a New York City native and began his career with the City of New York. There he researched environmentally and socially beneficial products for the city. He later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work with GoodGuide, a natural product ratings company headed by a UC Berkeley professor, where he created environmental, health, and social impact ratings for consumer products.
Vincent Kitirattragarn began college at Rutgers University in 2002 but transferred to Cornell University after two years. He graduated from Cornell University with his bachelor's in 2006 and his master's in engineering in 2007.
