VOISE (company)

VOISE was established in 2016, as a music platform leveraging on cryptocurrency technology, to create a solution for artists and end users that diverts from middlemen and the model created by record labels.The goal of the anonymous, decentralized music streaming and downloading platform was to provide an avenue for artists to publish their work and make 100% of the revenue. It was designed to run with a smart contract, so once the platform is launched people would be able to verify the software for themselves.

In 2017, VOISE announced a date for the launch of its complete alpha version of a decentralized platform for downloading and streaming music from global artists. It was timed for October 18 after a tokenswap, and VOISE was recognized by independent artists, like Carolyn Malachi and DJ Jinco. After reconciling its coinswap, VOISE tokens were to expand on main exchanges as preliminary work on the platform continued.

In a January 2021 Reddit thread, co-founder Andre Ledoux noted the unsuccessful launch of VOISE and stated

The fundamentals are sound, I am in need of a solid team, exchanges have agreed to relist the token with work done to repair the existing problems. I still want to see voise succeed, it's a great name, we need to connect with the right people. I walked away, I signed the company to another party, they never filed the changes with incorporated canada. Seeing that they did nothing with it I asked if they would mind if I try to get this platform built, they agreed, and I am in a position to open voise to the community.
