Taipei Medical University (TMU) is a private educational institute in Taiwan, primarily focusing on education and research in the fields of higher education and healthcare. Founded in 1960, TMU operates under the motto "Honesty". The university is located in Taipei, Taiwan and is known as 臺北醫學大學 in the local language.
TMU is affiliated with several organizations, including the Joint Private Medical Universities Admissions System, the University System of Taipei, the Open Education Consortium, and the Established University Consortium of Taiwan. The university also holds accreditations from the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan and the Ministry of Education of Taiwan.
The organization has a subsidiary, Taipei Medical University Hospital, to assist with their objectives in the healthcare domain. To date, TMU has been the assignee of 61 patents in their areas of expertise.
