Springboard is an accelerator in United Kingdom that also serves as a mentor and a training company for startup businesses. Founded 2009 in Cambridge, United Kingdom by Amir Chaudhry and Jon Bradford, it provides seed capital to startups. Springboard has evolved into a full time 13 week bootcamp accelerator programme based in ideaSpace within the Cambridge University. It was funded by angel investors that includes NESTA and will be managed by Jon Bradford, the founder of The Difference Engine. It usually provides £5,000 per founder (to a maximum of three founders) for 6% of the business with intensive mentoring and support throughout the bootcamp. As of February 2013, Springboard has joined forces with TechStars and became TechStars London. Its portfolio companies include iChef, VIVO Healthcare, WICASTR, Proxly, GetLikeminds, The Backscratchers, Hassle.com, Knodium, Publification Ltd and Adwings.
