Spanish football club from the city of Ponferrada, in the province of León in the Autonomous Community of Castile-Leon. The club was founded in 1922 and plays home matches at the Toralin stadium, which seats 8,800 spectators. The traditional uniform is blue and white striped t-shirts and blue shorts.
The club was founded on June 7, 1922. Ponferradina spent most of its history in the lower leagues of the Spanish Championship (Tercere and Segunda B).

September 2000 saw the opening of the club's new stadium, El Toralin, which replaced the old Fuentesnuevas Stadium; the opening match was a friendly match against Celta Vigo, which the visitors won 2-0.

In the 2006/07 season, Ponferradina entered the Segunda for the first time, but were immediately relegated, finishing 20th out of 22. In the 2009/10 season, Ponferradina returned to the Segunda
