Real Oviedo S.A.D. is a Spanish football club based in the city of Oviedo, capital of the province of Asturias. Founded in 1926. Home matches are held at the stadium "Nuevo Carlos Tartiere", accommodating 30,500 spectators. Since 2015 he has been playing in the Segunda. Real Oviedo is the first club from Asturias to win the right to play in the Example (in 1933), in total, the team has 38 seasons in the top division of Spanish football. Recently, Real Oviedo has been experiencing serious economic difficulties, which is also the reason for its current position in Spanish football: having left the Example in 2001, the club did not stay in the Segunda either, from 2003 to 2015 it ran between Segunda B and Tercera. The principal rival of Real Oviedo is another club from Asturias, Sporting Gijón.
