Revel.xyz (Revel) is a Web3 platform developed for minting, collecting, and trading NFTs and personal media. The platform was developed to allow users to combine the fun of social media self-expression with an opportunity to trade in a marketplace as an end-to-end platform for both creators and collectors. Users can upload their own videos and photos or create new ones using AI text-to-art and convert them into digital collectibles.

These assets allow users to have provable ownership, authenticity, and scarcity, and each asset comes with a pre-set number of editions for friends and followers to acquire. These assets come in three rarity types, each with a different number of editions. A collector can collect someone's three media assets, one of each rarity, and earn yield each time they mint.

The Revel platform is developed to leverage social game economics through game design and rules to manage economic concepts like supply and demand and inflation. This is intended to generate an economy concept that constrains supply and asset publishing to develop "healthy" inflation levels. Revel is a cross between a social network and a marketplace, including social games and aspects of other social networks. Part of this mechanism is what Revel calls "Proof of Demand Minting," where anyone can mint a collection, but only those people whose collections are in demand—or are collected by others—are able to mint more and create that economy around their marketplace.
