Resoto

Resoto is a cloud infrastructure management software developed by software company Some Engineering. The software has its origins in late 2019, when Lukas Lösche, then a site reliability engineer (SRE) at D2iQ, began developing Resoto as an internal project at the company. After launching the first version of Resoto in 2020, D2iQ open-sourced the software later that year, which allowed Some Engineering to take over development of the project in 2021.

Resoto is designed to allow users to automate cloud infrastructure tasks and make cloud-native infrastructure searchable. The software does this by creating an inventory of the cloud, allowing it to be easily searched. Resoto can also make reports based off of these searches, which can be exported to popular tools such as Slack, Teams, and Discord, and shared among colleagues. The software also allows certain tasks to be automated, such as identifying and cleaning up orphaned resources and enforcing tag structures. Resoto acts as a meta layer on top of existing cloud infrastructure and is compatible with AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, and Kubernetes.
