Rabble is a New York City based crowdfunding platform which performs as a venture capital firm. Through Rabble, people who are not accredited investors (a person with a net worth of at least $1 million), can invest in companies they would not have the opportunity to invest in otherwise. Users can invest with as little as $100 through Rabble.
For companies, Rabble gives them a chance to raise capital in spaces they wouldn't necessarily have access to otherwise. And for their part, Rabble screens companies and projects based on their social purpose and investment viability. Rabble aims to deliver what they call "complete returns" where investors receive financial returns with positive social and environmental impact.
Through Rabble's platforms, users have been able to invest in Ocean Farm during Summer and Fall 2018, where Rabble partnered with Atlantic Ocean Aquaculture develop an algae farm.
In Winter and Spring 2019, Rabble partnered with Terra Conservation Initiative to raise fund for Richard Leakey and Daniel Libeskind's Museum of Humankind in Nairobi, Kenya. Through the same partnership, users were also able to fund the International Coalition of Rhino Protection. And the partnership allowed users to raise funds to protect the Western Forest Complex in Thailand.
