Nikolai Ryzhkov (birth name: Nikolai Ivanovich Ryzhkov) was born on September 28, 1929, in Donetsk Oblast. His occupations have included politician, officer in the armed forces, engineer, and statesman. Ryzhkov holds citizenship in both the Soviet Union and Russia. He was educated at the Ural State Technical University and the Ural Federal University.
