Nikolai Ryzhkov

Nikolai Ryzhkov (birth name: Nikolai Ivanovich Ryzhkov) was born on September 28, 1929, in Donetsk Oblast. His occupations have included politician, officer in the armed forces, engineer, and statesman. Ryzhkov holds citizenship in both the Soviet Union and Russia. He was educated at the Ural State Technical University and the Ural Federal University.

Throughout his career, Ryzhkov has been recognized with numerous awards. These include the Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", Order of Merit for the Fatherland (4th class), Order of Honor, Order of Lenin, Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation, Order of the October Revolution, Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Order of the Patriotic War (1st class), Stolypin Medals (both 1st and 2nd class), USSR State Prize, Honorary Diploma of the President of the Russian Federation, Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Order of Dostyk (2nd class), Medal "In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow", and Medal "In Memory of the 1000th Anniversary of Kazan".
