Newcastle Falcons is an England-based rugby union club. It was founded in 1877 and changed names several times before officially becoming the Newcastle Falcons in 1996. The majority owner of the team is Semore Kurdi, who started financing the team in 2010.The team is part of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby league, along with twelve other teams from across the United Kingdom.Since 1990, the Newcastle Falcons have been playing home games at Kingston Park Stadium, which can hold more than 10,000 spectators.
The team is composed of almost fifty players in positions as either forwards or backs. It is sponsored by Stelrad, and the team's uniforms are black shirts for home games and red shirts for away games.The team had successful seasons in the 1997-1998 season when it won the Premiership title and in the 2001-2002 season when it won the Tetleys Bitter Cup. It also won a Premiership 7s title in 2011, when the team beat the Saracens.The Newcastle Falcons finished twelfth in the league during the 2021-2022 season with six wins and seventeen losses.
