Nami is a browser-based wallet extension that interacts with the Cardano blockchain and is non-custodial. It can be used to send and store multiple assets, delegate ADA to pools, mint tokens, and use multi-sigs. Smart contract support will be added when available. The Nami wallet can be used in a browser context and connect to websites in order to interact with decentralized applications (dApps). Nami is completely free to use and open source.
The wallet is available as a browser extension on the Google Chrome, Brave, and Edge browsers, as well as any other chrome-based browser. The Nami wallet is compatible with Daedalus and Yoroi, to restore wallets from those two applications; however, there are limitations, as Nami does not track all addresses associated with an imported wallet and can result in only a partial mirroring of assets. Nami also allows users to create sub-accounts from a single seed phrase, which all but the main account are hidden from Daedalus and Yoroi, but the Nami Wallet developers do not recommend using Daedalus and Yoroi simultaneously.
