Multiply Labs manufactures personalized supplement capsules which are custom made for each individual . For example, if a customer needs vitamin D in the morning and a caffeine boost after lunch, Multiply Labs's technology combines this medication schedule – with particular quantities and release times – into a single daily capsule. The long-term vision of Multiply Labs is to combine all the medications a person needs (including prescribed medicines) into one personalized daily capsule.

Multiply Labs’ product is enabled by the combination of pharmaceutical science with robotics technology. They have developed an FDA-compliant robotic manufacturing facility that 3D prints personalized capsules, and then fills them with custom quantities of medications. In October 2017, Multiply Labs was approved to sell the first 3D printed capsule to ever reach the market.

Multiply Labs is able to pack multiple dosages of different prescriptions in a single pill which can release at different times through the construction of their pills. The pill uses a multi-compartment structure which offers multiple, separate compartments which then rely on the thickness of the wall of the compartment to release at different times. Thin walls release faster and thicker walls release slower over time, up to 120 minutes from ingestion to final release.
