Kirk Hammett

Kirk Hammett, born Kirk Lee Hammett on November 18, 1962, in San Francisco, is an American musician, composer, guitarist, and songwriter. He is known for his work in the music industry, particularly in the genres of thrash metal and hard rock. Hammett holds United States citizenship and currently resides in San Francisco.

Hammett was educated at De Anza High School and later attended San Francisco State University. He is a founding member of the world-renowned band Metallica. Additionally, Hammett is known by the pseudonyms "The Ripper" and "JONFER".
