Founded in 1976 in Argentina, INVAP focuses its activities in the following areas: Nuclear, Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial Equipment.
INVAP constructs satellites, payloads, and ground stations. Since 2003, INVAP is participating as a contractor for the Argentine Air Force to provide radars to the Argentine Air Space. INVAP has updated radars for the Argentine Army, and developed a navigation simulator called MELIPAL in Navy Schools.
INVAP designs and constructs nuclear research reactors, radioisotope production plants, nuclear fuel manufacturing plants, neutron beam design, radiation protection instrumentation, and reactor protection systems.
INVAP has designed the IVS-4500, wind turbines built to sustain severe weather conditions. INVAP has also developed and adjusted wind behavior calculation and numerical simulation tools.
INVAP's joint venture AILINCO S.A. works on the safe disposal of industrial waste. INVAP has designed and constructed the equipment required to manufacture products for Petroplastic S.A., a company supplying accesories for the oil industry. In 2005, INVAP developed a telemetric system for the early detection of forest fires.
