GSC Game World is a private Ukrainian company engaged in the development of video games.
It was founded 27 years ago in 1995 by Sergey Grigorovich, who is currently the CEO of the company. The name of the company GSC is an abbreviation of the surname and initials of its founder, it stands for Grigorovich Sergiy Constantinovich.
Since 1995, the company was one of the first to translate video games into Russian.
Since 1997, GSC Game World has been trying itself as a game developer, failing due to a lack of workers and resources, but still by 1999, the company's first game based on its own WarCraft 2000 engine appeared on the network.
In 2001, a full-fledged video game developed by GSC appeared. It was a real-time strategy game for Windows "Cossacks: European Wars". This game has brought success and recognition in the community of players.
