GITAI (company)

GITAI is a company that specializes in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, virtualization, and robotic research. The company was founded by Sho Nakanose in 2017, in Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan.

The company is interested in providing work in outer space and looks to provide competition in space. They look to promote the building of multiple commercial space stations, space hotels, space stations, for scientific experiments. They aim to replace astronauts with robots that can be remotely controlled from Earth and low-Earth orbit space stations.

Some of GITAI's technology that they have developed include restricted capacity of network infrastructures, low-latency communications, workload reduction technologies that counter space radiation, and NAT traversal technology for low-latency communication. Their data reduction technology compresses data to reduce data of 360 camera with a resolution of 2.7k from a data volume of 800Mbps to roughly 2.5 Mbps. They have also created robotics for general task substituting in and for the International Space System.
