Damascus University

Damascus University is a public educational institution located in Damascus, Syria. Founded in 1923, it is involved in the education, higher education, and university industries. The university is also known by its Arabic name, جامعة دمشق.

The university's motto is "My Lord, increase me in knowledge". Damascus University is affiliated with the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World and is an instance of both an organization and an educational institute. The institution is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education of Syria.

One of the subsidiaries of Damascus University is the Damascus University - Faculty of Medicine.
