Cypress International is a consultancy that focuses on industry support of department of defense and homeland security. They offer a range of services including merger and acquisition support, business development (strategy, research, and education), international marketing, program management, and cyber security support and consulting services. Though they are not endorsed by the DoD, they work primarily in the defense and security sectors. They boast a broad network of resources and research capabilities and employ individuals with backgrounds in the defense industry.
The company was established in 1978 near the National Capital. Cypress International was founded by Vernon B. Lewis, Jr., a former major general in the U.S. Army, and is a service-disabled veteran-owned business. Vernon B. Lewis, Jr. served as CEO until his retirement in 2000.
The leadership at Cypress International is headed by CEO and chairman Dave Halverson. Kevin Fahey is the
president and COO of the company. Peter Fuller is the managing director and Mindy Gilbert is the CFO. In addition to the leadership staff, Cypress international employs a number of "Subject Matter Experts" who bring their specialized backgrounds in various DoD or business-related experience to the company. Cypress international also has twenty on-site field representatives stationed at various locations throughout the U.S. working with government and military organizations such as the Army, Airforce, Navy and more.
