Countdown Capital is a venture capital firm that invests pre-seed checks in "hard technology" startups, with a focus on founders rebuilding the American industrial base. Countdown Capital also seeks to provide in-house support for their investments. The firm was founded in 2020 and is based in Columbia, Missouri, and often invests in companies in new computing, energy, physical autonomy, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. Countdown Capital was founded by Jai Malik.

Countdown Capital's investment platform is focused on aligning early-stage companies and founders with engineering hires and the interests of national security (first principles). The firm is primarily focused on pre-seed investing in hard tech companies.
