Contap Social was a Philadelphia-based company with a mobile application that combined event organizing and networking into one app. The app was free and was intended for event organizers for small to mid-sized recurring events.
The app had features to streamline the operation of launching an event. One feature collected data from the client's event attendees to produce insights and analytics about the event. Those insights could also be shown to sponsors as a justification for sponsoring said event. Another feature was auto check-in, so that attendees did not have to wait in long lines. The app also sent out post-event surveys to give organizers feedback from the attendees. There was also a chat options so that attendees could connect with one another while at the event.
To publicize events, the app had the capability of contacting past attendees to invite them to future events. There was also an Eventbrite integration feature that allowed for attendees to buy tickets using the website.
