Cluno

Cluno is a Munich-based subscription service company with a focus on the automotive industry. It has developed a mobile application for users that can be utilized for a service to use a car periodically without having to fill out paperwork.The service is an alternative to owning, leasing, or renting a car and is only available in Germany.

Users can download the Cluno mobile application on Android or iOS. The signing-up process is digital and paperless. Users pay a monthly fee which includes various features such as automotive insurance and vehicle warranty. It also covers service and maintenance for the vehicle and tax and GEZ (license) fees. The vehicles are registered to Cluno and users can switch cars and pause their subscription. There is a minimum term of six months for the subscription after which users can return or switch their cars when they give a three month notice.

Users can choose which car they want from a selection including vehicles such as Opel Corsa, Toyota Aygo x-play Club, Volkswagen Caddy, and more.
