Charles F. Kettering was an engineer from the United States. Born in Ohio on August 29, 1876, he was educated at Ohio State University. Known by his nickname "Boss Ket", his official name was Charles Franklin Kettering.
Kettering was the founder of Delco Electronics, and he played a crucial role in the establishment of the Kettering Foundation. He passed away in Dayton, Ohio on November 24, 1958. In recognition of his contributions, Charles F. Kettering was posthumously inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1980.
