Brian Sheth is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He is the cofounder of Sangreal Foundation, Vista Equity Partners, and Haveli Investments.
Sheth was born on November 26, 1975, in Acton, Massachusetts. Sheth attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his bachelor's degree in economics with a focus on finance. While attending college, he cofounded Sangreal Foundation, which collaborates with other organizations to mitigate environmental issues, such as contributing to forest restoration. He founded the organization with a woman whom he had met in college, Adria, and the two would later marry.
Sheth has always worked in finance and has worked at companies such as Bain Capital, Goldman Sachs, and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Group. In 2000, he cofounded Vista Equity Partners with Robert Smith. Sheth acted as president of the company, and at one point, the company was valued at $73 billion.
In 2020, Sheth left Vista Equity Partners and established a new company, Haveli Investments. The company is a private equity firm with a focus on making investments in the technology industry. The firm is based in Austin, Texas, where Sheth resides.
Sheth is reported to have sat or still sits on the boards of several companies, including Mediaocean and TIBCO Software.
Sheth is also a philanthropist with a focus on environmentalism. In addition to cofounding the aforementioned Sangreal Foundation, he has made sizeable donations to other environmentally-focused organizations, such as Re:wild. Sheth collaborated with the Cicero Institute in 2022 to fund several initiatives that are focused on aiding unhoused people in the city of Austin, Texas.
