On September 29, 2014 TIBCO Software announced being acquired by Vista Equity Partners for approximately $4.3 billion. The acquisition gave each shareholder of TIBCO Software $24 per share in cash. Vista Equity Partners acquired TIBCO Software at a purchase price representing a 26.3% premium of the closing stock price of TIBCO Software as of September 23, 2014.
