Established in April 2007, mydealz is part of Pepper, a deal-sharing company. Mydealz is a German portal for deals, vouchers, freebies, and other offers from online shops and local retailers. The company also has a community of mydealz users who find, share, and rate offers every day, from ecommerce brands and retailers.
Mydealz was etablished by Fabian Spielberger, a student at the time, to give tips to friends and fellow students on how to purchase cost-effective mobile phones. As a result, mydealz hosts a community of shopping enthusiasts who locate offers, discuss, distribute, and rate them.
The company finances itself through commissions. When a user finds and purchases a product through mydealz, they receive a commission from the store in question. Members of the community post deals, coupon codes, information about products, and other related details. Active users who post attractive deals are awarded badges.
